Approach
I have over 28 years of experience managing and improving processes and systems. From a professional perspective, my greatest satisfaction has been teaching and mentoring others on the use of process improvement tools and methods. I started Practical Process Improvements in order to focus my efforts on training and consulting.
My Training and Consulting Practice is based on the following core beliefs.
Training and Education
My business is built on teaching and communicating process improvement methods to people from all backgrounds. I utilize real world examples and practical applications to ensure that the concepts are fully understood and can be applied to your business.
Customer and Results Focus
Helping you improve your process is my primary goal. Training and Consulting Services will be focused on specific objectives. Your improvement goals and the culture of your organization determine which methods and approach will be used.
Patience
Real and lasting Improvement takes time and patience. Several small to moderate changes, effectively implemented, are a faster route to achieving your goals than attempting a “home run” with one large improvement effort.
“Slow is Smooth and Smooth is Fast”
Communication, Engagement, and Alignment
Use common language and avoid jargon so that everybody understands the improvement method. We cannot make lasting improvements unless we can communicate with all involved in the improvement effort.
Improvement is change and we cannot assume that all stakeholders will support the change. People will not support improvement efforts unless they are involved and communicated with from the beginning.
